Client Access Portal is here!

For our valued customers, an online Client Access Portal has been developed with you in mind.  There are essentially two sections; a trouble ticket tracker (named IT Help) and a Download section.

 

We believe communication is critical to developing long-term client relationships.  IT Help is designed to track the status of all trouble tickets in real-time.  As a technician works toward resolving your issues, you’ll receive up-to-date status alerts via email to keep you informed of our progress.  It is similar to UPS or FedEX package tracking systems in that you are constantly kept informed regarding the status of your trouble ticket.  This portal also serves as a repository of all solutions provided so that you can easily reference historical work performed by our technicians.

 

The Download section is a collection of free tools and utilities that we offer direct to our clients.  All software made available for download is tested for months in a lab and work environment to ensure that it meets our stringent standards before we release it to our clients.

 

The Client Access Portal requires a username and password as all information is secured.   All clients are eligible at no cost.  To get started using your portal, simply contact us via email at info@edalexander.com to request your login details.  Once you have a valid username and password combination, you can easily log into the portal from our home page at www.edalexander.com.

Welcome to the first official newsletter from Ed Alexander Technology Consulting.  It is my goal to bring value to our clients by sharing information, announcements and software.  Look forward to upcoming editions as I hope to publish this newsletter on a monthly basis.

Download of the Month

Microsoft's SyncToy is a free application that synchronizes files and folders between locations. It is an ideal utility for backing up your computer files to a thumb drive or external hard disk. Computer Tips

Wireless networking is super convenient but most routers are shipped with minimal security in place.  Hackers can easily bypass this security to access your files and hijack your internet connection.  Be sure to secure your wireless network to keep unwanted traffic off your network by using encryption and/or MAC filtering.  If you need assistance, contact us anytime.
